“I don’t like you at all.”
“Then how can you say you love me?”
“Because I do love you.”
“I don’t understand.”
“You don’t need to.”
“I want to.”
“I appreciate you with a resonance like no other. Your presence in my life is distinct and teaching. But it is also burdensome. I can’t go on any longer with you, but I embrace you, and that is my love.”
And it swept over our bodies, burying us beneath our words, leaving us to ourselves, separate beneath the weight of the world.
